Ålesund is a picturesque town known for its Art Nouveau architecture, built after a fire in 1904. It’s also an entry point to the surrounding fjords and Sunnmøre Alps, making it popular for scenic cruises and outdoor excursions. The port is within easy reach of downtown’s colorful buildings, Mount Aksla viewpoint, and the Atlantic Sea-Park aquarium, one of Europe’s largest.
